Large Amount of iPads for 1 Microscope

Post by user-7106 »

We've been presenting and demonstrating Digital Classroom with Labscope to several clients and universities.
One of them, asked me if it would be possible for the software and the network to connect 30 tablets to 1 microscope.
They'd only be interested in co observing only one microscope, since they teach only a theoretical class, students are not allowed to interact with the microscope.

If they use Labscope teacher this should be possible, am I right?

We already know that the amount of iPads on the network depends on the router, network capacity, etc., but what we don't know is if a single camera can hold 30+ iPads.

Dear Ldehner,

it shouldn't be a problem that 30 iPad's looking at one microscope.
As you have written, there must be enough bandwidth available from the network.
The microscope should connected via Ethernet cable to the network.

It is not necessary to install Labscope teacher and configure a classroom.
All microscopes have access to the microscope with Labscope.
You can lock the microscope configuration with a password, that no student can change something (see attachment)

With best regards
