Thank you for clarifying!

One aspect that the customer is bringing up is that the Ethernet port on the desktop PC is used to connect the PC to the Universities network, so they can't really use that with the camera/router.
I'm assuming connecting the router via a Ethernet/USB connector to the PC won't work?

Dear Anja,

now I have an answer for you:

It is possible to connect the camera via Ethernet cable directly to a PC.
You can also use a USB Ethernet adapter.

The 202/208 cameras have a default IP address (192.168..202.208)
You have to enter a static IP address or the corresponding network adapter (for example: 192.168.202.205)
Labscope will now recognize the camera and the values (Objective,...) from the stand.
