Microscope models supporting Open Application Development (OAD)

Hi,

I am computer scientist and I am not familiar with microscopes. I am running a project where I have to develop remote control applications for a microscopes. So today I discovered the Open Application Development (OAD) of Zeiss microscopes. First of all I would like to say that all I need I to control the microscope with any programming language, and get the feedback (real time images of videos).

1) Is this possible with Open Application Development?
2) Which microscopes of ZEISS are compatible with Open Application Development ? I need cheep solutions because it is for educational purposes, for example the Axiolmager.Z2 is compatible with OAD?

OAD offers an integrated development environmennt with (Iron)Python. In addition to that there is a TCP-Interface and a COM Interface.
