Application note details experimental workflows using images captured with automated microscopy

The use of 3D cell culture models has emerged as a fundamental tool throughout various life science disciplines including tumor and translational biology, developmental and basic cell biology.

This application note presents three experimental workflows based on the automated live cell imaging microscope ZEISS Celldiscoverer 7, which overcome these challenges working with three-dimensional cell cultures. Specifically:
  1. Analysis of cellular responsiveness, signal transduction mechanisms, sensitivity and/or specificity towards compounds
  2. Monitoring of the self-organization of embryonic stem cell aggregates
  3. Unraveling the composition of three-dimensional cell aggregates
