image dimensions (µm-pixel relation) from meta files

image dimensions (µm-pixel relation) from meta files

Hi,

I am dealing with some older images here acquired with Axioplan software. I have .tiff files and metafiles (.xml), no czi files. When I open the image itself I can of course see the dimensions in pixels but I would like to know what that corresponds to in µm. Have looked into the metafiles (opened with a simple text editor) but this is just a mess to me. See below. Does anyone know where the info I am looking for is written in the metafile? Do I have to open them in a different way?

Hello Judith,

I'm no expert on Axioplan but as far as I undestood your post you are looking for the scaling of the Image

so this part of the metadata is essential for you
