Labscope EDF not available for Stereos

In recent Labscope's versions, EDF functionality is not available when configuring the camera as Stereo microscope. It only works for Compound microscope configs.

Dear Gastón,

the EDF has never existed for SteReo microscopes in Labscope. Currently, this feature is only intended for compound microscopes.

Hi Maik,

a customer where we recently installed a stemi with Labscope is complaining because EDF are not good. I know the optical reasons for this, however I wanted to understand why the customer is able to acquire an EDF with a stemi, since the function shouldn't be available. Is something changed in the app since last year?

Hi, Silvia Contessi. I can guess your customer just changed the Labscope setup from Stereo microscope to a generic axiocam compound microscope (the trade off is getting wrong scale and metadata). In the end, they should have manually changed the scales in post processing.
