Difference of MNA basic and advanced for the Labscope App

Post by user-4046 »

Dear Support,
I have received with my new Primotech the MNA basic and the MNA advanced. Now I want to know, how the advanced software modules "Automatic scaling and Advanced measurement" work in my app Matscope.
where are the differences for my app Matscope?
Do you have any description for my question?

Best regards

Hello Frank,

thanks for your question. (I assume that "Labscope" in the heading was a typo, and you wanted to refer to "Matscope", since you posted to the Matscope forum, and the rest of your message is referring to Primotech and Matscope.)

When you install the Advanced network adapter (or MNA) on your Primotech, and then connect to the microscope, you will see the full feature set of Matscope, including advanced features, such as PCB layer measurements and Multiphase measurements (and more to come). If you use the Basic network adapter, these advanced measurement features will not be visible. You will have all basic features available though.

For details, you can also refer to the Primotech's product info, which you can download as PDF file from here. Pages 15 and 16 contain the MNA-specific information.

Thanks and best regards from the ZEISS support team.

Hey Frank,

Great to hear you've got yourself the Primotech with both MNA basic and advanced.

Now, let's dive into the differences between MNA basic and advanced for the Matscope app. The MNA basic typically covers the essential functionalities, allowing you to perform basic measurements and analysis. However, the MNA advanced takes things to the next level. With "Automatic scaling" and "Advanced measurement" modules, you can expect more sophisticated scaling options and enhanced measurement precision.

For a detailed description of how these advanced modules work in Matscope, I'd recommend checking the user manual or contacting the manufacturer's support directly. They should be able to provide you with comprehensive guidance tailored to your specific equipment and software version.

As for my experience, I've used comparable software modules in the past, and they can notably streamline your analysis tasks, making your research or work more efficient and accurate.
