In the technical details, it is written in Performance-related info: “20 microscopes and 20 iPads streaming simultaneously have been tested on standard WLAN hardware. For larger installations, multiple access points interconnected via Gigabit Ethernet should be set up, and the iPads should be distributed over these access points”.
I would like to know in a case of a classroom with 40 microscopes and only 1 or 2 iPads, would it be enough with only 1 standard WLAN?
Thank you
WLAN configuration
Hello Olga,
thank you for your request, and we apologize for the delay.
Yes, the number of iPads (which do the wireless streaming) determines how powerful the WLAN infrastructure needs to be. With only 1-2 iPads (or even up to 10), a single WLAN access point or router will work just fine.
Thanks and best regards from the ZEISS support team.

Re: WLAN configuration
Hi
You can connect 253 devices (+router) into your same router. (standard LAN connection or WLAN)
To check what devices are connected into your network, you can check your router panel at 192.168.o.1. Also you can control your traffic through the same router.

Re: WLAN configuration
A tip, you can connect your devices through a simple architecture, with a central server. For example, the central server can save all data for the database, keep some rules for the firewall, process all apis requests, etc.
Here is a guide to build your own central server for your LAN. It's a local network that can connect all devices via intranet.

Re: WLAN configuration
When you have just 1 or 2 iPads, or even up to 10, you don't need a super powerful Wi-Fi setup. A single Wi-Fi access point or router will do the job just fine. So, you don't have to worry too much about having a complex or expensive Wi-Fi system.
